Walking into the Asheville’s Salt Cave is like walking into the perfect still and supportive environment. Any challenges or things causing me stress seem to immediately melt away as soon as I enter the salt room. It is hard to capture the deep relaxation that occurs as soon as I settle in, but each time I am there I end up feeling completely integrated and energized. Asheville’s Salt Cave is a beautiful space where you can go for balance and revitalization, and I am so grateful to have this place in our community.
Asheville Salt Cave is the thing to do if you need some quiet time to yourself in a relaxed healing atmosphere. This place is a secret oasis as a mom of two wee-ones, the moment I walked in the door., a tranquil time-out. You sit in the cave for 45 minutes of silence, breathing the salts healing properties. It is like stepping into another place all together. There are salt goodies to admire and purchase. A true gem in Asheville!
I am an asthmatic who relies on a rescue inhaler at least once a day. After just one 45 minute session I did not need to use my rescue inhaler for 2-1/2 weeks. Each time I return to the cave for a treatment session I come out more relaxed and breathing easier.

Salt therapy can benefit all ages. We have designed this special session, held every Sunday at 10am, so you and your young ones can enjoy the salt cave together. Some benefits, especially useful for children, include mental clarity for distracted youngsters as well as immune boosting, respiratory relief, and relief from skin conditions. Little ones, ages 0 to 11 years can only be registered for the Kids Quiet Play Sessions on Sundays at 10am, or you may buy out the room for a Private Session for you and your family. Accompanying adults must register as an Adult.
In consideration of all our guests, PLEASE help children to be quiet and calm while in our space so we can keep these sessions open to our family friendly times. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
Adults must be present and attentive to their child, as we have other spa/wellness services going on and do our best to have children in a quieter setting than the playground.
What to expect:
We have a cave host who will help you enter the space and then once every one is settled will leave to enjoy the time together to chat and connect. They will return after about 40 minutes and have you all help pick up toys and books so kids learn how to be helpful with resetting the space.
We have books, sand toys and some toys for kids to play with. We do ask if you want to bring anything as well, just please no liquids.
Adults MUST be attentive to children while in session, as they are NOT to play in the water features, this can be very harmful due to is high concentrations.
To help maintain our peaceful atmosphere for all guests, we are having family sessions enter and exit though our lower entrance, to help keep noise levels quiet and respectful for everyone in our space.

In Private sessions are we expected NOT to talk?
NO! But please be mindful of your volume as you move about our entire space as well, as others are in healing sessions.
Private sessions are designed as EITHER silent meditation sessions or as places you can connect with your loved ones. You get to choose as a group. We will help you drop in to the space with a little introduction but then the time is yours. You can move about the space and talk as much or as little as you all would like.

We invite you to quietly relax and recharge in our nature inspired salt cave. With 30 tons of pure pink salt, we have naturally recreated the micro climate of a salt mine. We sustain this climate by maintaining the specific temperature and humidity levels found in a naturally occurring cave. The salt in our cave comes from all corners for the earth: from deep in the Polish salt mines, to the Dead Sea, to the Himalayan Mountains, to the Celtic Sea. It is anti-bacterial, uncontaminated by dirt, and is free of toxins and pollutants.
Relax in our comfy reclining loungers while ambient music is infused in the space to help you to drift off into your own silent meditation.
